What is this famous tempered glass?
To put it simply, it’s a bit like sending our drink to the gym! After a short session at 700°C, we cool it in express mode. Then there he is, ready to take everything you throw at him. It then becomes up to 6 times more resistant than this small, fragile basic glass. Are you afraid of thermal shock?
With us, no worries up to 130°C, or even 200°C for budding chefs and our ramequin!

Since 1945, Duralex® has been avant-garde with its tempered glass. We were the first, before anyone else, to release tempered glass tableware directly from our factory in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin. Why do we love tempering so much?
Because it’s the secret of our strength! Thanks to this technique, our glasses are almost invincible: they resist everything, they last longer, and even in the event of an injury, they break into small pieces to avoid injury. This true obsession with quality is what guarantees that each glass leaves the factory in “super-glass” mode!

Our tinted lenses meet a “Cool Tinted” standard (okay, that’s not its real name, but we like it that way). Basically, whether you are team vert or sapphire blue, thanks to these magical little minerals, the color stays vibrant again and again.
But why this obsession with mass tinting?
Because we love adding personality to our products! With mass tinting, each glass becomes unique, with its little secret tint that makes it special. It's as if each glass has its own "mood". And just like our tempered glasses, robustness is always there.
