4 Fresh and Light Cocktail Ideas to Celebrate Summer

4 ideas for fresh and light cocktails to celebrate summer

After a few months of gray weather, summer is (finally) back! The opportunity to sit on the terrace with your sunglasses and a cold cocktail.

A cocktail ? Yes but which one? To help you find inspiration, here are 4 recipes for ultra-thirst-quenching and light cocktails.

But what would a cocktail be without the glass in which it is served? To enhance your aperitifs all summer long, Duralex® has designed elegant glasses... And still just as resistant.

  1. The Daiquiri: a delicious Cuban cocktail

It was on the beaches of Cuba that this rum-based summer cocktail was born. It was one of the favorite drinks of the famous American writer, Ernest Hemingway, nicknamed 'Papa’ by the inhabitants of the island. And it didn't take long for the Daiquiri recipe to cross the ocean to France, where its success has never wavered!

Ingredients :

  • 6 cl de rhum blanc
  • 2.5 cl of lime juice
  • 1 cl of cane syrup
  • Crushed ice

Preparation :

In a shaker, add the crushed ice. Then pour in the white rum, the juice of a squeezed lime and half a teaspoon of cane syrup.

Mix vigorously. Then serve very chilled in the glass of your choice. You can decorate your Daiquiri with a slice of lime or a few mint leaves.
